Coming Soon: online nominations for 30 exceptional young industry professionals  – to be featured at 2014 Las Vegas show next February

Participants in the 2013 National Kitchen & Bath Association’s 30 Under 30 Young Professionals Program. On Thursday, February 6, 2014 at KBIS, the group will present their findings. The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is looking for qualified candidates for its 30 Under 30 Program for the upcoming Kitchen and Bath Industry Show 2014 (KBIS®), to be held February 4-6 in Las Vegas.

“We are excited to present our 30 Under 30 young professionals at KBIS 2014 for the second year in a row,” says Nancy Barnes, NKBA Director of Learning. “The program launch in 2013 was a huge success with the group, which included enthusiastic entrepreneurs, forward-thinking CEOs, and cutting-edge designers who are all still in their 20s.”

Please consider nominating an accomplished young person who is passionate in his or her profession and forward-thinking about the kitchen and bath industry and its future. The submission form can be found at http://www.nkba.org/30 and opened on July 8, 2013. The deadline for submissions is August 16, Noon, Eastern Time.

The goal of the 30 Under 30 Program is to acknowledge outstanding young professionals, while helping these individuals to immerse and apply themselves to new opportunities for growth and development in support of the industry.

According to 2013 participant Donna Tran, being a part of the NKBA 30 Under 30 Program at KBIS 2013 in New Orleans last April taught her the many possibilities of what a young designer can accomplish.

“I had a great time meeting all others in the group w
ho are equally passionate about this industry,” she says. “Through them, I found out how they managed their positions in the industry and dealt with clients, whether they had their own companies or worked for another firm.

“I’ve also learned how important social media is in terms of finding out the latest trends, being connected with others and marketing yourself,” Tran continues. “The presentation topic that my teammates and I worked on [Showroom of the Future] has given me an insight on how the showroom that I work at can be changed in the future as well.”

On Thursday, February 6, 2014, the group will present their findings on the Las Vegas show floor in a featured speaker presentation for KBIS 2014 Conference attendees. They will share the results of their explorations and answer questions from the audience.
